I watched this unfold and was delighted at the breaking news. When people say "you have three options" (or substitute any number) then you know it's time to dismiss their opinions. There are always more possibilities. Our president apparently understands this. Each plan called for an increasing number of troops - none called for a way to end the war or defined what situation would signal the withdrawal of troops. We've been there for 8 years now without a plan, with no end in sight. It's time to put the breaks on and step back and figure out what we're doing there. Sending more troops without a plan is madness.

It's time for all of the libertarians and Ron Paul fans to stand up and support Obama on this one. He is taking a stand against intense pressure from conservative war-hawks. It is not a full withdrawal, but it is a step in the right direction.
